it came as no surprise when i developed a nasty throat cold earlier this week. given my schedule last weekend it was an almost certainty*. but, knock-on-wood, things are already looking up.

colds typically attack my head and throat, straying away from my nose but for a day or so, and even then it’s not much to fret over. my tonsils swell up and my voice evolves into a gravely rasp, not unlike a boy going through puberty, but moreover my brain decides my head is too small to hold it and tries, as it has before, to burst forth to find a larger, more cranial-centric host. i guess my lunch-hour forays into internet chess versus other desk-jockeys has backfired.
