at what point did the biking community become infected with the hubris and moral ineptitude to such a degree that they became unaware of the fact that they have to obey stop signs?

fellow bikers, here is a short list of traffic laws you must abide by.

probably because of gay marriage and abortions, god has decided to melt the midwest. yesterday was a record high. a time/temp marquee blinked 98° which is impressive given it was pure humidity.

i find all of this rather odd given that saturday morning gave us one hell of a thunderstorm, ruining some picnic plans i had with friends i haven’t seen in far too long. sadly, the picnic was pushed inside. but happily, that meant we could start drinking far earlier than would be socially acceptable.

as all parties do, ours ended up on youtube. please to enjoy.

i don’t know who is endowing me to take two workshops at this years TCIF, but i will have to thank them somehow. i am open to ideas that don’t involve sexual favors and/or assassinations.*

  1. mass effect
  2. uncharted
  3. gears of war
  4. world of warcraft
  5. assassins creed

however this is what i would rather the be:

  3. nothing
  4. nothing
  5. nothing

the ultimate(?) personality test 0

via bullshit but i saw it on lonelysandwich

It’s not strange to disagree about movies that are wildly different, and there are surely a few random movies that are very polarizing. What I find most interesting is which movie people consider the best movie from a particular director, as it is usually very telling and polarizing in a different way, so to this point I will propose a new personality test where you reblog your favorite movie from each of these directors:

  1. Joel Coen: No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, The Hudsucker Proxy, Miller’s Crossing, Raising Arizona, etc
  2. Wes Anderson: The Darjeeling Limited, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Royal Tennenbaums, Rushmore, Bottle Rocket, etc
  3. Hal Ashby: Being There, Shampoo, Harold and Maude, etc
  4. Kevin Smith: Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Dogma, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Clerks, etc
  5. Quentin Tarantino: Grindhouse, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, etc

my results: Miller’s Crossing, Rushmore, Harold and Maude, … Chasing Amy, i guess… Pulp Fiction

so, the dark knight is being released in theaters this friday. i myself will be joined by rita b and justin h and tyler s in the midnight screening at the lagoon landmark theater. excited is the best term for what i’m feeling. it certainly doesn’t reach the boil of can’t-wait-ness i had preceding the first and second spider-man films (the third was, in all honesty, a disaster), but i’m still looking forward to the caped crusader’s return. tech talk 1

in an attempt to get some content on this site, i’ve been writing about whatever is in my head. often several times throughout the day. the interface of the current template i’m using, provided by this fella, is very much me, however there are a few blanks to be filled in. namely the on the navigation side of things. having only three posts now doesn’t do much in the way of archiving. this blog is only two days old. and with much of the options offered by the author, i feel more entries can only help. not for me, mind you. my thoughts will always be here, but for technology’s sake; merely to have something complete to hold in my digital hands.
